Bailey's considers the safety of our members a top priority.  All Bailey's Gym locations utilize a computer controlled card access system.  The main member entrance door must be opened via electronic validation.  Once inside the lobby, the member must pass through a turnstile type gate, electronically controlled by the system, ensuring each individual entrant has been verified.  The system will record all attempts to enter a facility, even if the entry request is denied.  All members are required to use their membership card each visit.

Security measures in place include:

  • All locations are monitored 24 hours a day with digital recording equipment.
  • Cameras are located in all legally permissable member access areas.
  • Recorded data is archived approximately 14 days, dependent upon location.
  • All locations are monitored by an independent alarm company.
  • Bailey's employs a team of after-hours roving Security providing coverage at individual locations on an unannounced rotating schedule.
  • Bailey's Security team members are available to provide late night escorts to vehicles, as well as report any undesired activity to management and local authorities.
  • All locations are equipped with a 911 'Red Phone' at the member gate entrance. Upon pickup, these phone automatically dial 9-1-1.
  • All clubs are equipped with automatic defibrillators (AED's).
  • Each location is equipped with individual cell phone / key lockers with user assigned combinations during each visit.

Jon Waters  - Security

I have worked at Bailey’s Health and Fitness for 15 years and have experience in various departments. My interests include comic books, Star Wars, and staying in shape! My philosophy on fitness: Fitness literally saved my life. The physical condition I was in due to weight training enabled me to survive multiple heart procedures required due to a hereditary condition, including multiple by-passes and multiple valve replacements. To this day, I still challenge myself in the gym. Continuing to push myself...just in case. I’m always willing to share or pass on any knowledge I have based on my experiences and philosophies with weight training.

Darrien Johnson  - Security

I'm originally from Tangelo Park FL (Orlando). I moved to Jacksonville FL in 2017 looking to escape the influx of tourism. My goal is to advance my career in the field of Sports, utilizing the degree I received from Huntingdon College. Some of my favorite pass times are taking long walks on the beach, spending time with family, occasionally wrenching on my Mustangs, and watching football - GO GATORS! My plans for 2018 are to take my talents to a local high school as a strength and conditioning or skills coach. Also to start my brand by promoting athletes and the lifestyle of being physically fit.

Christian Torres  - Security

Hi, my name is Cristian Torres, and I will graduate from the University of Florida in the fall of 2018 with Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media, with future plans to become the greatest Movie director to hit the face of this earth. I was a competitive swimmer from age 6 to 17. Competitive powerlifting took over my life during my junior year in high school. After taking home a few wins, and a couple losses over the span of four years, I switched gears into Olympic Weightlifting. I am currently on the Gator Weightlifting team at UF, that’s the university’s Olympic team. I compete in the 69kg class, with my lifts being 72kg for my snatch, and 103kg for my clean and jerk. The goal is to go to worlds before I hit 24, let’s get it!
